Here in California, I noticed that all of the used car dealers are advertising NO LICENSE REQUIRED to purchase a car...Even though the governor has twice vetoed a bill to issue driver's licenses to illegal immigrants...Does anyone else see a problem or inconsistency with this?

Car dealers LOVE to sell to illegals!! its like a free pass! they can charge them way too much for a piece of crap that shouldnt be on the road and then if something goes wrong with the car what are the buyers gonna do? they can't do squat cuz they are illegal! its a win win if you are a car dealer. for the rest of us it just means more unsafe uninsured vehicles being driven by unsafe illegal drivers! dontcha just love it!
Reply:Good question.... I am not from California but how do they get around the insurance laws? One must have full coverage (if financing) and at least liability in order to drive off the lot. How can they purchase an auto without insurance? I guess its possible that maybe a citizen with a drivers license could be insured on the policy with the non licensed driver but I just wonder about the legalities of it all.

Reply:You don't need a license to OWN a car. You do need one to DRIVE one.
Reply:Same problem with banks like Bank of American and Wells Fargo making mortgages for illegals without SSN's. If I went to a bank and applied without out a SSN they would laugh me out the door.
It's all about the $$$ not what benefits the people. And it's not just Bush, Clinton with NAFTA. D or R $$$ talks.
