$.01 adverstising? Almost free advertising?

Has anyone tried pixel advertising? I'm just curious whether it actually works, or generates any traffic. I was thinking about trying some on this site... www.theultimatepyramid.com

It depends on what site you use.





Alex Tew's Million Dollar Homepage which introduced pixel advertising worked so well (and reached its million dollar goal) because it was such an innovative idea. As always, copycats abound and everyone was soon offering pixel advertising.





I would look at how the pixel ad site attracts its audience and what the site's contents are. Many pixel sites are nothing but grids with the pixel ads -- which do not attract visitors. Hence, many are asking if pixel advertising is simply a fad that is not here to stay as most of these sites are just clutters of ads. So your $0.01 advertising may cost just that in terms of value because the site did not give you anything in return.





I suggest you check out sites that offer pixel advertising PLUS content to have a wider chance of reaching the target audience. Or advertise in popular pixel ad sites such as Tew's.

Reply:No results... Much better to use traffic exchanges, which are free. or pay for adwords or yahoo. plus yahoo gives $50 for free if you start with $5, which I think is a good deal...
