I’m finishing up my Visual Communications degree at the end of this year (majoring in Film and TV) and have seriously begun to contemplate just how I will go about getting my dream job in advertising at 26? I know most Jnr positions offered in advertising are for people 18-21 years old…so the question that springs to mind is, is 26 too old to begin a career in Advertising?
Is 26 too old to get a job in Advertising?
it is never old. You are fine in your age, but I believe in this case if you have any experience would help better. Nowadays, companies would prefer people with at least 3 - 5 years experience in advertising.
Reply:Statistically, in the course of our lives, people in our generation will change careers (not jobs, careers!) as many as 9 times. So no, 26 is not too old. Nor would 46 be!
Reply:Absolutely not. People change careers at all ages. Good luck!
