I am developing a web portal and I want to earn money by advertising in the web portal. How can i find indian advertisments other than google adsense. Please help

How can i find advertising for my web portal ?
I have had a look on my search engine and directory submitter software. Your choices are minimal when it comes to advertising on Indian directories. I myself have the same problem in South Africa.





Unfortunately I don't know what type of web portal you have but there are inexpensive ways to market your site depending on your target market. You need to brand your website in a niche market. Keep asking yourself where would your possible customers be searching.


I did a quick search on Google and I found the following web directories:

http://www.forage.in/


http://www.search4i.com





The problem you're going to have though is that you're advertising your portal on another portal. People don't visit portals to find another portal so don't expect streams of traffic from these directories. But never the less the inbound links to your site are still beneficial to your SE rankings.





In closing your best bet would be to get as many quality inbound links as possible to increase your perceived popularity by the web crawlers. Make sure that your site is well optimized before submitting it to search engines if you haven't already.
