Do you think that advertising re-inforces a negative influence about 'body image'?

I am asking this question for my media Coursework to see what members of the public think about advertising in the media, and if affects peoples body image in some way. Please answer.

Do you think that advertising re-inforces a negative influence about 'body image'?
yes it influences. Otherwise no one would advertise
Reply:Our culture is in its infancy of beauty and youth counts. Advertising has always shaped our beliefs and continues to do so today. Advertiser are promoting cosmetic surgeries for both men and women. There are accounts that even at the age of 20 are going under the knife. People go through much pain, chance malformation, and sometimes death. The negative values are a "Me" society, as well as seniors.

I hear many people on Q %26amp; A reflect a negative view of seniors and the "Me" in a materialistic soceity .
