I am very interested in pursuing a career in advertising or marketing? Do you work in that field? How do you like it? How many hours a week do you work? How much do you make? Is it fun/exciting?

I was in marketing with a fortune 100 high tech company... worked my way into that role from being a techie.





My job title was something like: Senior Global Program Manager.





I absolutely loved it. I was responsible for the design and deployment of global services.





I traveled the world: Tokyo, Hong Kong, South and Central America, Australia, all over Europe and U.S.





I did get burned out though - it was a very high pressure, demanding job for a company with a cut-throat reputation. I was rarely home. I made great money but similar to sales I had to perform (or rather the services that I designed and "rolled out" had to perform... or else! :-0
