Depends if you live in a small town or big city...big city you will need a sponsor or a good idea is to give coupons at a train station where people get in from work. fridays are the best days. small town flyers and coupons will be best.
Reply:Flyers do work well, you do not even need expensive ones. I started in small business with a cleaning company. Using flyers and just talking to people landed me 5 huge apartment contracts in less than two weeks. On weekends I would also pass out 100's of B%26amp;W flyers to offices and every 200 or so would net me a call. Those calls are seeds thought that get you three calls each and so on. So dont think that your medium has to be top notch quality just make sure it is genuine and use volume to your advantage.

Also some local salons may even be interested in working with you, you would have to ask them though and work out details.

Reply:There is a huge national televised sports event with pay per view as well October 19, 20 and 21 in San Francisco California. Get some advertising space there, we just purchased some and it was less then $100. Nothing like getting your business seen on television

Reply:Normal run of the mill fliers are cost effective and do get people's attention. Especially if colorful and attractive. You don't want to overspend on advertising. Unless you can afford a billboard or bus ad.
Reply:hair i am....hahaha. are you serious? you are going to travel and cut hair? i don't know if i trust it, butif you are good, then just use the standard stuff, and word of mouth. just remember, your new business is kind of unusual, so don't be upset if people give you looks in the beginning. are you in a van, or a car, or coach bus?
Reply:you can always get a magnetic sign for the side of your personal car so that you are always advertising

place business cards at every resturaunt peg board. people standing in line really do read them!

Offer free services to a few people for referrals or do a 10% discount on their next service if their friends come in and give their name. word of mouth is the best and cheapest!

go to businesses that seem to be really busy and offer to come during their lunch hour so that they can fit in a hair cut without having to go anywhere

These are off the top of my head. Hope this helps! PS, cute name!
