I have a letters from Santa business where parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc go on my website and can order a letter to the kid(s) in their life that is personalized to each child from Santa Claus and postmarked from the North Pole. I have the back end of my business completely in order; however I need some free or inexpensive ways to advertise this business. I will be utilizing press releases as I am teaming up with a charity and donating $1 from each of my letters to that charity. This will give me a little more newsworthiness with the press releases. My main target is women. Ad rates in women’s magazines are outrageous. Even my local newspapers and community publications seem to want an arm and leg for even for the smaller ads. I don't have to focus locally as my service is available nationally in the U.S. I need ideas for online and offline marketing that will not break the bank! I really want to saturate with advertising the five weeks after thanksgiving. HELP!
I need great free or low cost advertising ideas for a very small seasonal business.?
How about looking for people in other parts of the country that do similar things?
Let's say you're in Maine. Google or Yahoo people/companies and find someone in let's say Washington that does what you do and call them for some ideas. You aren't in competition and people doing your kind of business are generally nice and easy to get along with.
Good luck with your business I wish you the best!
Reply:You need low cost or free advertising ideas... hmmm... Well I work for a SEO company and we do that stuff. check it out at wesubmit.net

85% of all website traffic originates from search engines…. Can you really afford to lose that much business?

I work for www.weSubmit.net and we use tried and tested methods for attaining a high ranking for your website on many popular search engines, thus increasing your website’s visibility and, accordingly, traffic. We give you the results you seek without any excuses. That’s a guarantee!
Our optimization experts understand that skillful keyword selection and placement, polished content writing, and short and precise meta-text are the key elements in the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) process. Additionally, since search engines no longer merely scan meta-text in ranking your website, over one hundred other factors have to be considered during optimization, including your website’s popularity compared against your competitors. We, therefore, pay careful attention to these elements during optimization, so that you may maximize your return on your investment into our affordably priced SEO services. Even though I work here I use weSubmit.net for my own website.
Reply:Consider a joint venture with popular websites that receive a lot of seasonal traffic (Privately owned smaller sites as opposed to Overstock.com). Offer a revenue share for companies that want to offer a banner of yours on their homepage, feature you in their customer newsletter, etc. You have a great product idea, and there should be a number of companies willing to feature you. Also try using stumbleupon.com for advertising cheaply. $15 will get you a fair amount of traffic, and their users are very responsive to campaigns like this.
Reply:well you have the website. you just need to get the word out. then giving out your website address to your friends and everyone, post it on community websites. the news spreads fast and the world is become a small town now.:) try it may work. best of luck to you
